Save Money on Unique Semi Formal Dresses

Prom season, wedding parties, pageants... All of these occasions call for fancy dresses or "formals." While commonly lumped together and referred to as formal dresses, the modern, shorter dresses that we are seeing a lot of at these types of events are more accurately categorized as "semi formal."

It's Important to Know the Difference

Semi formal dresses are also commonly referred to as cocktail dresses. While the hem length may hit anywhere from above the knee to the lower calf (known as "tea length"), it does not hit the ankle or floor. Formal dresses, on the other hand, are floor-length evening and ball gowns; they are worn to events where tuxedos are worn by male guests. A semi formal is more useful for the younger set, as it allows for more playful movement and dancing that is typical of gatherings they may attend. Cocktail dresses are fresher, funkier, and more fun; they allow girls and women to be more fashion-forward and look sexier than a full-length gown. A semi formal gown is typically paired with a dark, dressy suit for men; however, it is common these days to see a man in black tie with a woman in a semi formal dress.

Now that we know exactly what they are, where is the best place to find semi formal dresses?

Cocktail Dresses Are Seldom Worn More Than Once

When it's time to go shopping for a dress, the most important thing to remember is that it most likely will not be worn again. With this in mind, your best option is to seek out a second-hand dress. This doesn't always mean the local Goodwill or Salvation Army, although you will frequently find gems there. A second-hand dress could be purchased through a site like eBay or Craigslist or from a local newspaper advertisement; it could be borrowed from a friend or relative; it could even be rented from shops that specialize in formal rentals if you are lucky enough to live near an urban area.

Again, because these dresses are rarely worn more than once by the same person, it's one of the few times where classic styling or quality construction are not major shopping concerns. Not that you want a cheaply made dress, but this is a situation where women and girls may seek trendier styles and brighter colors than they normally would for their everyday wardrobes.

Armed with this information, you can now go shopping for semi formal dresses knowing exactly what you're looking for, and knowing that you don't have to make it a major purchase!

Vintage Inspired Cocktail Flapper Dresses

Vintage Flapper DressesMany people associate cocktail dresses with muffled music, clinking of glasses and a semi-festive mood.Cocktail dresses however, have a special place in history. The requirements of dresses were partly dictated by the historic events. The 1920-s era of the prohibition caused a storm of protest and indignation among citizens. People wanted to have fun! Therefore, they organized secret parties and speakeasies where they were dancing and consuming illegal alcohol. Women were expected to attend the party in a beautiful dress, but dance all night long in a flowing evening gown was uncomfortable. Furthermore, it was almost impossible for the lady to stay unnoticed by police officers while on her way home from a party in the morning. These factors paved the way for the emergence of short cocktail flapper dresses of the 1920's.Vintage style cocktail flapper dresses are loose in their cut so they don't hamper your movements, and your step is easy and graceful. Ruffles, flounces, frills and extensive fabric tucks are often used to make these dresses more fetching and light.Opting for a vintage cocktail flapper dress is a wonderful alternative to a modern dress as the style, design and color work in today's alternative movement. Even the classic black cocktail dress, made in a vintage style, has special charm of the vintage style. The most popular fabrics for vintage cocktail flapper dresses are crepe, chiffon, silk velvet with floral patterns or lace trim. These dresses are suitable not only for cocktail parties, but also for a business wardrobe. When you are choosing a vintage cocktail dress, do not be so quick to go with classic black, a variety of colors allows you to select a suitable dress that's perfect for you. Vintage accessories and jewelry in a contemporary style are in fact suitable for cocktail dresses in a vintage flapper style

Formal Dresses Versus Semi-Formal Dresses

Formal dresses are common terms for outfits made for formal social events, such as wedding, formal garden party or dinner, debutante party, dance or prom night. The western design of formal night dress is famous by white and black outfits, which are famous to a lot of nations; it is nearly typical outfit for majority of the occasions currently.

Between cocktail and Semi-formal outfit, how will they be unique? The answer is shown below.

Semi-formal gowns are used in a cocktail party where drinks and light finger foods are dished up. However, visitors can dress in a number of different styles, an overall guideline is always that all men are required to wear an informal suit and tie, and the ladies are suppose to put on a gorgeous dress that is shorter than a formal outfit.

Majority of cocktail dresses are mid-thigh to knee-length and come in a range of striking tones accessorized with heels, fine jewelry and a small tote. Women opt for the classic little black dress--a simple and stylish look for any party and particularly appropriate for a cocktail party. Men can wear a light- or dark-colored suit and tie, but a jacket is an optional. Normally, a semi-formal party is easy going not stiff, you will see a lot of people interacting, giggling, offering toasts with their friends and some are even high in volume while having a good time. Check out Faviana Dress #6631.

Formal dresses tend to be used as formal attire at fancier events such as weddings, private dinners or debutante balls. Formal dress rule require for males to wear either black colored tie or white tie. Black tie attire consists of a tuxedo and bow tie for men and a sophisticated gown for ladies. White tie outfit consists of a black coattail jacket, black pants, a white shirt and tie, and white vest. Females are required to put on formal dresses that are usually floor length gowns, shorter length is not appropriate. The rule of formal dresses is strict, and any invitee who does not comply will be considered to have poor social manners. Check out Faviana Dress #6428.

Formal dresses and semi-formal dresses are the choice for formal attire while cocktail dresses are for casual. Women could wear dresses and skirts of varied lengths and also have the choice of putting on formal slacks having a sequined top. Men are not necessary to put on a tuxedo or dinner jacket, and light-colored suits are popular and accepted. However, for more formal events, light-colored suits for males are improper and a dinner coat must be worn all the time. Actually, removal of the dinner jacket is not good social manners. Women have much less leeway when it comes to the length of their gowns or skirts. Knee-length gowns are satisfactory during black tie occasions; yet, white tie events require floor-length gowns. Thus, cocktail parties are viewed lighter, less fanciful events because of the much more informal dress code, whereas formal gatherings are restricted to strict dress codes and social grace codes.

Wear Formal Dresses Whenever!

Formal Dresses are something that I love to wear. I love to wear them, I love to shop for them, and I even love to talk about them (or how about write about them?). But there is one thing that bothers me about formal and semi dresses and that is that you cannot wear them as often as I would like. So I decided to change that.

I called up a bunch of my girlfriends and instead of having our weekly night out on the town at a bar I suggested that we start getting a little bit classier. I suggested that we go to dances, to events, (heck even crash weddings). If it gives us an excuse to wear our semi formal dresses and gowns, then we will be there. If it gives us a reason to get dressed up and having fun then that is where we will be.

So from now on every Saturday me and my girlfriends will go out for a ladies night out dressed to the nines. We will wear our long formal dresses, get our hair done, and put our make up on as if we are going to a formal dinner. It is so much more exciting and let me tell you ladies if you are trying to find a man at a bar then you will be out of luck. Well, I am sure that you will find "a man' but I highly doubt that you will find "the man" of your dreams. When you are going out to a formal occasion the type of fun that you have is so much more mature.

When we used to go to the bar we would always end up fighting off some weirdos that wanted our numbers or end up watching two morons fight. As we get older we are realizing that the bar scene is just not as fun for us anymore. Once in a while it is fun but on a weekly basis it is the same boring thing and the older we get the more we are realizing this. That's where modern formal dresses come in!

Going out to a formal event is so much more enjoyable and getting dressed up with semi formal dresses or going all out with gowns, is a big part of the fun. Perhaps one night one of us will meet our Prince Charming or maybe we won't, but at least we will have fun dressing up in our semi formal dresses and looking extravagant. We get to choose whether we will wear long or short formal dresses and gowns, and either way, we will look stunning and classy!

Semi-Casual Dresses - Emerging Hot Office Trends

The long-preserved and strict rules of wearing only formal dresses seem to be dying out. They are slowly giving way to once "unacceptable" semi-casual dresses. These dresses are no longer taboo on the office premises.

Interestingly, they are being approved by those who hold the high ranks. They don't seem to raise their eyebrows any longer on this changing trend. This "just in" semi-casual attitude has added many colors and spices to a very formal (read colorless) environment of the offices.

The office goers, around the world, are shedding their full sleeve shirts and formal pants with a distinct enthusiasm. Even, the neckties have become pretty optional ones. The professionals at all places are not reluctant, even slightly, to join this latest bandwagon.

On office days, a polo neck t-shirt coupled with a well-fit pant is a common rage. Many are putting on jeans with stylish striped shirts. The ladies are showing a special liking for straight skirts along with some light colored semi-casual tops.

But amazingly, this "unconventional" norm too has got its "conventions". These rules help a wearer to remain on the right track of semi-formalism. Otherwise, the wearer may creep into the realm of extreme casual dress sense.

The plain colored shirts, not bright red, deep orange or printed ones, can be paired with jeans or chinos. The striped pants and flattering skirts must be avoided. They give a boring look. The excess of jewelry is bad. A light color pearled necklace will suffice.

The wearers profoundly explain the benefits of wearing semi-formals in the offices. They believe wearing semi-casuals make them comfortable, and allows them to look dashing.

But what they forcefully emphasize is that these dresses enhance their productivity. They accept that they seem to be more active in semi-casual apparel.

Clutch Party Dresses for Elegant Get-Togethers

Women have been wearing party dresses for centuries. Gowns that were designed specifically for formal occasions date back to the 17th century. The mantua was a loose-fitting gown with cuffed sleeves that was often worn with a petticoat. It was developed in France and by the 18th century, it was the most popular dress to wear at Court (in the presence of a monarch).

Gowns grew ever more elaborate as the centuries rolled on. The sack-back gown, for example, would make most modern wedding gowns look like sundresses. It was made of luxurious fabrics arranged in box pleats that fell to floor with a modest train. The dress was so heavy it had a square hoop to give it shape. As you may have guessed, only members of the bon mot could afford these formal gowns.

During the reign of Queen Victoria, the term "evening gown" was first used. Most fashionable individuals agreed that an evening gown was an elaborate dress with long sleeves that almost always had a hemline that fell between the ankles and the floor. Even so, designers continued to experiment with new looks.

Over time, dressmakers used less and material and women started showing more skin. By the end of the 19th century, the most fashionable gowns were sleeved numbers with decollete necklines. Strapless dresses came around a bit later as simplicity began to sell. Women wanted fun, flirty dresses that were actually comfortable.

Where are we now?

When an 18th century woman received an invitation to dine with a monarch at his Court, it was fairly obvious what she would wear. But things aren't always that easy these days. A woman must now match her dress to a given social event, and there are many of them, each with its own dress code.

Black Tie

The most formal social gathering nowadays is the black tie affair. A traditional wedding held in the evening or a political dinner often requires formalwear. That means tuxedos for the guys and evening gowns for the girls. The definition of an evening gown is not set in stone. As a general rule, the hemline should reach the ankles. Full length or tea length dresses are preferred. Luxurious materials like satin, silk, velvet and chiffon are commonly used in evening gowns.

Creative Black Tie

Creative black tie invites are always fun because they give girls the option of wearing cocktail dresses instead of evening gowns. One again, there is no standard, accepted definition of what a cocktail dress actually is. When compared to an evening gown, cocktail dresses are invariably shorter. The length of the little black dress, for instance, can range from just above the knee (the mini) all the way to the ankles (tea length). When a woman does wear a cocktail dress to an event that calls for creative black tie, she should select a tea length dress, since it is still considered to be a formal affair.

Semi-Formal

Cocktail and dinner parties with close friends are generally semi-formal affairs. While an evening gown would be over the top, guests are expected to dress up a bit. One easy way to select a dress is to consider where the party is being held-the venue. If the semi-formal event is a holiday office party, it is probably best to dress a bit more conservatively. A tea-length cocktail dress or a little black dress with tasteful accessories is appropriate. However, if the semi-formal event is a dinner with close friends, shorter cocktail dresses are okay.

Business Formal

Events that are held at work or with business clients often call for business formal attire. Unlike the holiday office party, guests are expected to show their respect for their clients and colleagues by dressing appropriately. This means either tailored business suits or long dresses. A cocktail dress is fine as long as it is long enough.

A dress with a hemline that falls to the ankles (tea length) is recommended.

Cocktail Attire

Cocktail parties are a blast because guests can wear almost anything they want. Of course, a certain level of decorum should be observed. Men often show up in causal suits and women wear a party dresses. When we say party dress, we mean any of the dresses we have mentioned in this article. Cocktail dresses, evening gowns and little black dresses are all party dresses. Depending on the venue and the season, the shorter cocktail dress (the mini) is a crowd favorite at cocktail parties.

Informal

Most women own at least one little black dress. The appeal of this popular outfit is its incredible versatility. Little black dresses can be worn at most social gatherings. Though designed specifically for semi-formal affairs, they are popular at casual or informal parties as well.

Whatever the dress code, there is a party dress to match it. Find the party dress you've been looking for now.

How to Find Unique and Beautiful Wedding Dresses

The easiest way to find a unique wedding dress is to have someone design and create your gown for you. But that option is something out of the reach of all but a handful of brides. But if you are not a princess or the daughter of a sheik, there are other ways to ensure your gown is something different and special. The first trick is to stay ahead of the trends. Know what is considered fashionable and what is cutting edge for the wedding season. If you do that - and you stay ahead - you will be the one setting the style, and not just following it. People will recognize your wedding dress is something they haven't seen before, but won't realize you're just in touch with what it is in style.Coming this season are several trends that can set your wedding dress apart:Floral Accents Flowers have long had a major role in setting the scene for a wedding. But instead of focusing on the bouquet, choose to focus on the flowers on the wedding dress. Don't just settle with a floral lace. Instead, use floral appliqu? to add a flourish to your gown itself. Use them on the bodice, combined with beads and sequins for a stand-out look. Add them to the skirt, highlighting the lines of the waistline or the flare from the hips.If you want to magnify that look, consider a taffeta ball gown with a skirt completely covered in floral appliqu?. The form-fitting bodice is made of taffeta, with an all-over ruching for an easy fit. At the dropped waist, the skirt flows out in a cascade of floral appliqu?. It is an incredible look that will leave your guests in amazement.Skirt Details Let the skirt of your wedding dress set it apart.Turn all eyes on you with an organza fit and flare gown in which the flange skirt is cut on the bias. This dramatic and spectacular dress is created from organza, with a hand-cut bias that gives the gown a unique, organic look. The layer upon layer of organza looks like a flower in full bloom. Balancing this extravagant skirt is a carefully draped and figure-hugging bodice. Yards and yards of tulle create not only a different look, but a heavenly one. Vera Wang designed this gown, utilizing some 100 yards of tulle for the skirt. (Tulle is a sheer to semi-sheer net fabric that is often used for skirts and veils.) While tulle can be used as an underskirt to create fullness in the skirt, today's designs bring the tulle to the outer layers to create an ethereal look.If you want something less organized, combine those organza flanges with tulle swirls. The result is an incredibly romantic draped skirt set off with a simple V-neck bodice. Or layer the tulle to form a skirt that is romantic and also dramatic. Romantic Ruffles There is nothing more romantic for a wedding dress than ruffles, such as those ruffles created with a pick-up style skirt. The wedding dress starts with a sweetheart, strapless bodice. The pick-up style skirt drops down three times - first at the hips, then the knees and finally, falling to the floor. This is an incredibly elegant look.Colors Does the dress have to be white or ivory? In the past, that was true. But today's brides have a certain freedom to dress color as they choose. Blush is the new color this season. A cross between white, ivory and perhaps peach, blush offers a third alternative for your wedding dress. The result is an extremely romantic wedding gown that harkens back to a distant era.Another alternative is a gown with a bold swath of color - like red, purple, blue or any of up to 20 different shades of color. You will find the color used as an inset on the skirt and as the matching sash of the gown. Embroidery on the gown can also pick up the color. If you are not ready for that much color, go for a simple and subtle splash of color. Choose a Shantung taffeta ball gown that features a satin ribbon in one of 42 different colors.Sometimes the color is a simple contrasting black, such as one taffeta and tulle gown with black floral lace. The black is nothing obvious, but is used in a touch on the bodice and the lace trim around the hem. It comes in combinations of ivory and black, ivory and champagne, solid ivory, solid white, and white and black. While not every bride can afford to have a one-of-a-kind dress, there are enough styles - and combinations of styles - that you can find a dress unique to your circle of friends. Discover your perfect style now.

In addition, it is important to remember that there are different types of satin and if you will be sitting for a part of the evening, getting a satin/polyester mix will give you the beautiful look of satin, but will not wrinkle when you sit. People who want to create or maintain a signature style, will often choose classic lines in their gown so that it can be easily adapted using accessories that will set it apart from other dresses. When you are choosing specific themes or colors for your dress, it is important to select the colors that enhance your coloring and body structure.

It will be important that the clothing you select is appropriate for the season and theme of the event you are attending. When a dress is chosen for an event that will take place out of doors or in the winter, it will be a good idea to find a matching wrap at the same time to complement the dress. This will help you to avoid the need to do last minute shopping and the stress of looking for an appropriate wrap to match the color and design of the dress.

Taking your time to find the perfect dress will give you an opportunity to find the complementary accessories at the same time. It is important that, when you are investing in a special dress, you do not feel rushed or hurried when you are making your selection.

How To Clean Formal Dresses

It can be a real shame to get a stain on something as beautiful as a formal dress and it can end up being a big deal if the event isn't very far away. The first step is to relax and remain calm. Relax and use the tips in this article and you should be alright because in this article we will give some tips on how to pre-treat stains on semi formal dresses so that it will improve the chances of them coming out at the professional cleaners.

Drink stains on formal dresses
Formal dresses that have soda stains, coffee, or even wine stains aren't yet a hopeless situation. The sooner that you treat a stain the better so try to get to it as quickly as you can and it will improve your chances of saving the dress. For drink stains try a mixture of vinegar and water. Make a solution of 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water. If you have a spray bottle handy then use it. Now spray the solution on the stain and then let it set in for a few minutes. Use a cloth to dab the stain. You may have to do this a couple of times to completely remove the stain.

Chocolate stains on dresses
Chocolate doesn't always mean the end for formal and semi formal dresses. First soak the area of the dress that has the stain in cold water. Next use a brush or a toothbrush to gently brush the stained area. Then try adding some dish washing soap to the stain as well. Do this a couple of times to properly pre-treat it.

Dirt stains on dresses
Dirt stains aren't as threatening as the above stains. In fact with just a little water you will probably be able to pre-treat the stain so that it can come out successfully at the cleaners. Dirt is something that is always going to show up on a dress so the cleaners are always prepared to deal with it.

Formal and semi formal dresses can be worn for many exciting events and it can always be a thrill to take your dress out of the closet. But you should be sure to check your dress about a week ahead of time so that you can inspect it and be sure that there aren't any stains that you need to deal with.

By the way, the reason I used semi formal in some cases, is that I wouldn't want you to try these tips on dresses that are very expensive. For those, it may be better to consult an expert!

Party Dresses for Upscale Engagements

Inconsiderate men often complain that women take too long to get ready for a night out. But of course that is the case. The guys need only slip on a suit, while the girls have to do their hair, apply their makeup and find the right dress. One reason women sometimes struggle when it comes to the dress is that they are not sure what is expected of them. When attending a social event, for instance, there is often a dress code. Let us take a moment to review them.

Black Tie

A black tie affair is the most formal social gathering. Men are expected to wear tuxedos, while women can choose between cocktail dresses, formal gowns or long dresses. There are also white tie affairs, which are just as formal. The only difference is that the men wear white bowties instead of black ones.

Creative Black Tie

A creative black tie invite gives guests the option of dressing down a bit. Men can wear black suits instead of tuxedos and women can wear shorter dresses or evening separates.

Semi-Formal

As the name implies, guests are not expected dress up for semi-formal affairs. Dinner or cocktail parties with close friends and acquaintances are generally semi-formal. Men should wear dark suits and women can wear cocktail or party dresses. Professional women sometimes wear dressy suits to semi-formal events.

Business Formal

The dress code for business formal is the same as semi-formal for the guys, but the girls are expected to dress in tailored suits or long dresses.

Cocktail Attire

The standard cocktail party doesn't have a well-defined dress code. The guys usually dress in dark suits and the women wear party dresses.

Informal

When an invitation calls for a casual dress code, it often means that men should wear a coat and tie and women should wear shorter dresses. More often than not, casual affairs are held during the warmer months when gowns or formalwear would be terribly uncomfortable.

Because the dress code for the girls is more complicated, it requires further examination. One of the most confusing things about eveningwear for women is the rather broad definitions. Everyone knows, for example, what a tuxedo is. But what about a cocktail dress, an evening gown or a party dress?

Once again, these dresses are defined by the formality of the event. The most formal dress is the evening gown. The difference between the gown and the other two is that it is longer and that it is often made of heavier, more luxurious and expensive fabrics. An evening gown is generally made of satin, silk, velvet or chiffon. Its hemline can range from tea length and ballerina to full-length gowns. Evening gowns are far more accessible than ball gowns, since they are available in any silhouette, including A-line, trumpet, sheath, empire and mermaid. They may have halters, straps or sleeves. Evening gowns are worn at black tie and white tie events, while ball gowns are obviously only worn to balls.

Cocktail dresses were created specifically for semi-formal affairs. The length of the dress varies widely. Some cocktail dresses are rather revealing, with a hemline that falls just above the knees and others drop all the way to the ankles. The most common length for a semi-formal dress is called tea length, which about two inches above the ankles. Ballerina length dresses are a little longer, as they actually reach the ankles.

Shorter cocktail dresses are often seen at upscale clubs or at more casual get-togethers. These dresses were known as 'late afternoon' numbers before cocktail parties became all the rage in the 1950s. They were also called 'early evening wear,' since women would often wear them out to dinner or to a local speakeasy or salon.

What then is a party dress? Well, a party dress can be any of the aforementioned. Cocktail dresses, evening and ball gowns are all officially party dresses. Some are worn to formal parties, while others are worn to semi-formal and casual affairs.

Modern Styles

The little black dress (LBD) is arguably the most popular party dress in the history of fashion. Created by world famous fashion designer Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel in the 1920s, the LBD is the quintessential cocktail dress. It is flirty, fun and affordable. Because of its elegant simplicity, the little black dress is perfect for any semi-formal occasion.

One-shoulder dresses toe the line between semi-formal and formal dresses. Depending on the hemline and the material, they may be a bit of both. The style is quite popular with younger women who want to show a bit of skin in a reserved and elegant way.

Beaded cocktail dresses can be worn by women of all ages. Though they are undoubtedly on the casual side, they are quite comfortable and flattering for most figures. The beaded dress is actually quite popular for less formal wedding ceremonies.

At the end of the day, party dresses should be fun. As important as dress codes may be, they should never get in the way your enjoyment. It's a party, after all.

Cocktail Dresses for Semi-Formal and Formal Events

In selecting cocktail dresses, it's far better to pick a style you feel comfy putting on and also to look like fashionable. The first task is to find out your body type. Dresses for semi formal occasions could be a little bit less textured when compared with formal functions. It does not have to be full length but short dresses also will do. Faviana Style: 6216 is a short cocktail dress. It's stretch satin dress with back closure, sweetheart neckline and thick straps. It is made in black, red, teal, and white. Cocktail gowns, dressy pants and overcoats are appropriate. Full length dresses also are wonderful. Allure is vital element of semi formal dresses also. Material choice for semi formal dresses has to be dressy like silk, velvet, cashmere, brocade and so on.

Cocktail dresses appear to be the suitable attire to wear at both events semi-formal and casual. The shade of the dress can have a major role depending if the bash is during the afternoon or night. Pick a lighter tone of outfit for the day time party and a darker color for night time. Dressing according to the occasion simply leaves good impact on others. It says about your excellent dressing sense.

Cocktail dresses or cocktail gowns are pretty much similar except cocktail dresses display a shorter length while cocktail gowns are usually long length completely down to the ground. Typically, cocktail dresses are utilized during evening functions. These types of dresses are frequently considered to be sophisticated, classic and extravagant in the style that triggers the approval and admiration from others. Nevertheless, the most famous cocktail dresses are silk, satin and chiffon. Tony Bowls Style: TBE21001 is a breathtaking chiffon gemstone encrusted one shoulder strap with ruched waist and a light flowing mermaid style skirt. It comes in yellow, cocoa, turquoise, and black.

Some females imagine having a bigger bust line, but for women who are obviously well-endowed, choosing a cocktail gown to highlight their figure is sometimes difficult. Utilize these tips to play up your assets without drawing unwanted focus on your chest area: 1. Avoid high necklines. It look logical to hide your cleavage to de-emphasize a big bust, but high cut necklines often create an unflattering shelf on your chest using the fabric. A plain and simple neckline is the most flattering for the lady with big bust line. 2. Look at a strapless dress. This specific style draws focus on your shoulders and face far from your chest area. In contrast to flat-chested ladies, voluptuous ladies aren't expected to regularly tug on a loose strapless gown. 3. Avoid necklines having ruffles, beading, sparkles or additional detail that drag attention to your bust line. Pick a gown with an appealing waist feature or hemline detail that makes one's eye to move away from the part you would like to de-emphasize. 4. Add accents with earrings instead of necklaces. Play up your face with fancy earrings or hair accessories rather than a necklace that draws in attention to your bust.

Cocktail dresses will always be the core gown in every woman's life. Whether it may be prom, wedding, graduation, birthday, art gallery opening or bachelorette occasion, cocktail gowns are continued to be worn. Almost all huge outlets store various cocktail dresses or cocktail gowns for people who may need it for special functions. However, the most used cocktail gowns remain to be silk, satin and chiffon. Each year, cocktail dresses evolve and grow to more contemporary fashion and styles.
